  • A Rainy Saturday!

    Wow............it is supposed to rain all weekend...............not fun at all. When there is so much to be done and on a holiday weekend no less. Oh well...............it's time to put on the boot straps and get busy in the house.......there's always plenty to do inside. I've been working on my kitchen................bought some new storage containers and am trying to set up a baking center..............and get my kitchen organized so that I will hopefully want to do some more cooking. I am also working on a homemaking binder.................if you have one would you mind sharing it with me. I would love some ideas. Needing to get my life together so I can better serve my family.

  • Been a while

    I can't believe how long it's been since I posted...............life has been really busy around here so I haven't had time to post. Here's what's been going on;

    I am now the leader of our homeschool group...............wow when the Lord told me to do it I never knew the challenges that it would have..............if I would of known I probably wouldn't of done it right.........lol. No for the most part things are going well.............I do enjoy it.

    I still am in charge of our bookstore at church............but the Lord has called me to step down out of that position but I ahve been putting it off because I haven't found anyone to take it over and I felt bad because our pastors theroy is if theres noone to run it we shut it down............so I've had a little guilt there but I know that I need to obey the Lord on this one.

    My dh and I are starting a homeschool bible study for families..............the Lord laid it on our hearts when we have noticed that most churches separate families and we have heard from families that they want their family to be together.............so we will be stating that soon too.

    We are going on our 9th year homeschooling about 2 weeks ago...............it's been a challenge but I am determined to make this a great year. I need to get myself more organized............with all that I'm involved in this has been pushed by the wayside...........ugh.

    We just found out that our church is going to be doing their big Easter production and my dh is in charge of that so we will be very busy with that now until the production.

  • Pondering

    As I sit here looking out my window I am pondering on things in my life. You know the times when you feel the Lord tugging on your heart letting you know that your a little distance from Him. How you hit a dry spell in your spiritual life and the Lord is calling you back.............to pull back from the things in life that are keeping you busy and distracted. My quiet time with the Lord is few and far between..............don't get me wrong I am always praying but reading His word has slipped.  I sit here thinking how do I get that back................how do I dive back into God's word and it come alive again? The one thing that I am thankful for is that He never leaves me...............how refreshing to know that He is right there waiting for me.So what do you do when you have hit that spot in your life?
